History of iBeats
In 1910, an engineer by the name of Nathaniel Baldwin manufactured the first pair of modern headphones out of tin cans. Over the span of 90 years, the evolution of headphones came a long way but it wasn't until 2001 that Steve Jobs and Apple changed the face of music by bringing in the iPod and the white, inexpensive earpods. Soon after that, in 2008, Dr. Dre introduced a headphone with great sound quality called Beats. A couple years after the release of Dr. Dre's Beats, a newly grad from Brown University, Megan Carter, recognized their amazing sound quality but after taking a nation wide survey, many consumers frowned upon the expensive cost of them. This led Megan Carter to pitch a potential partnership with Apple and Beats to reduce the cost but still have the same amazing quality. Finally after 6 years of creating 6 new iBeats products that will change the way we hear music, we are excited to present the newest technology in the music business, iBeats by Dr. Dre. These headphones combine two of the best known headphones into one, allowing you to 'Escape with Music'.
