Meet the Team
In 2010, Andre Young, Steve Jobs and Megan Carter began discussing a possible partnership between Beats and Apple, two of the top companies in the music/technology business. After 6 years of creating amazing products that consisted of Beats' great sound quality and Apple's inexpensiveness along with many more features, these three entrepreneurs created iBeats. In memory of the passing of Steve Jobs in 2011, iBeats continued on, carrying his legacy with us.
Andre Young,Andre Young, 51, was born into a musical family in 1965 and he always knew he wanted to get involved in music. His first steps to becoming a music artist was receiving a 'music mixer' on Christmas Day of 1984. From that point on, Andre Young was known as Dr. Dre. He spent hours on end working his magic. He eventually scored a gig at a local night club where he worked the turn tables. Dre reached the top of many charts throughout his career and teamed up with many artists like Easy-E and Ice Cube. On the side, Dre was also a producer and created his own label called Aftermath which launched many careers. Later on in 2008, Dre introduced Beats Studio Headphones and he continues to inspire the music industry to this day. Dre has changed the way we hear music through Beats and now he has done the impossible by co-creating an improved headphone based off of two of the best headphones ever.

Steve JobsIn 1955, Steve Jobs was born. After high school, he enrolled at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. However, Jobs didn't know what career path he wanted to take which led him to drop out of college after six months. In 1974, Jobs worked as a video game designer but it wasn't until 1976, that he started up with Apple, changing the face of technology with the iPod, iPhone and iPad, having the goal to make technology cheaper. As Jobs continued to create and explore with technology, and change the face of technology, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003 which took his life 8 years later in 2011, at the age of 56. Although Jobs is no longer with us, his legacy will carry on and he will always be an inspiration to the music industry and be apart of the iBeats Family.

Megan CarterMegan Carter, 29, graduated from Brown University in 2009 with a degree in music technology. During her university years, she owned a pair of apple earpods that she loved. However, one of her classmates introduced her to Dr. Dre's headphones in her sophomore year, which she loved as well. She then began to study both of the headphones in her spare time and came to the conclusion that the best headphones would be a combination of the two. She saw this as the perfect opportunity to start her first business. So, a year after she graduated, she approached Steve Jobs and Andre Young with a pitch with all she knew about music technology and finally this year, Megan Carter's dream came true; creating a new business and forming a partnership with two of the best known men in the music technology business.
